The smog station refused to touch based simply on the fact that the VIN says it was originally fuel-injected, and said it wouldn’t pass anyway because it doesn’t have cats. The Westfalia runs fine and is hardly a smoke-belching piece of shit. My uncle simply registers it at his brother’s house in Texas!

Texas Hwy87 used to run between High Island and Sabine Pass - two hurricanes in the 80's and 90's wiped it out and it has never been rebuilt. The McFadden marshes north of this area are wildlife sanctuaries and there are no roads, no public access.
One last final massive update. OTT tune got their CARB approval making it the only NA tune for the Tacoma that is 100% CARB approved and will pass any emissions test that is now checking for a modified ECU. Big shout out to @JustDSM and the team for working hard on getting us tuned Tacoma users legal.
