I just went to my DMV office to renew my drivers license and was told as of my NY birth certificate will not be accepted anymore! I have to get a 'certified' birth certificate since mine was created prior to 1965.

I have to renew my driver’s license in October. How long are the waits for an appointment? I’m in NW Raleigh. How early should I try to make an appointment? The DMV website says no availability for most sites and no option to check a few months out. The sites with availability don’t seem to have a working calendar, like Greensboro. I’m in Raleigh. WTF. LOL.

When I went to renew I saw an eye doctor first, so I could get new glasses and pass the DMV test, but the eye doctor said my eyes were easily good enough to pass without glasses, so he gave me a form to submit to DMV. Point is, I thought as I get older my eyes would grow weaker, but in fact I see better now than at any time in the past 50 years.
