Fresno (/ ˈfrɛz.noʊ / ⓘ; Spanish for ' ash tree ') is a city in the San Joaquin Valley of California, United States. It is the county seat of Fresno County and the largest city in the greater Central Valley region, as well as the most populated city in Central California.
But it’s also full of surprises. For example, Fresno is the only California city centered between three national parks: Yosemite, Kings Canyon, and Sequoia are only a 90-minute drive from Fresno. Fresno is also the number one agricultural-producing county, not only in California but in the nation.
